How a Hair Extension Client Consultation Works
What happens before any extension is fitted
A consultation is the conversation that happens before any extension goes in. A good fitter spends real time on it, because it decides everything that follows.
What the fitter looks at
- Hair condition: length, thickness, strength and any damage
- Scalp: whether it is healthy enough for the chosen method
- Lifestyle: how often the client washes, styles and exercises
What the client says
- How long they want the extensions to last
- How much upkeep they are happy to do
- What result they imagine, ideally with a picture
What the fitter agrees
The fitter explains which method suits the hair, what the appointments will involve and what the aftercare looks like. If the hair is not suitable, an honest fitter says so.
